The Portales Municipal
School District operates in
six different administrative departments.
Information on each of these departments
as well as how to contact the respective
director can be found below.
The Administration or Central
Office staff oversees all business
and human resources related
matters that pertain to our
district, and district wide
instruction, as well as, state
reporting and compliance.
The Technology Department oversees
all aspects of the district
that are technology oriented.
Areas of responsibility include
the network
printers, phone system, all
district computer
software and hardware, and
all student and staff ID's, along
with campus security cameras.
Special Student Services
oversees all aspects of the
districts' educational programs
that require any modifications
needed to accommodate students.
Additional areas of responsibility
for Special Student Services
include student
therapy programs and the district
nurses.
Our Maintenance Department is
responsible for all building
and grounds upkeep for the
district. Additionally, the
maintenance department is responsible
for the receiving and returning
of merchandise that comes into
the district, along with the
transporting of meals from
our central kitchens to other
cafeterias.
The Federal Programs Department
handles all aspects of the
district that are federally
funded or mandated. This
includes our bilingual program
and services for our bilingual
students, as well as, various
reading programs.
Nutritional Services is responsible
for ensuring that the nutritional
needs of the districts' students
are met on a daily basis. This
includes both the breakfast
and lunch programs offered
by the district.
