What is a School Counselor? |
|
The primary role of a school counselor is to help students learn and develop to their highest potential, socially, emotionally, and academically. Because there are so many situations that interfere with a child’s learning process, I am here to help students work through those issues. I believe in encouraging students to become lifelong learners, to become positive and productive citizens, to inspire students to strive to reach their highest learning potential, and to be a source of encouragement and support to everyone involved in the educational growth and development of students. The counseling program at James Elementary is implemented according to state and national standards. |
